Hustleshuck aims to change the way we relate to the marine environment through what we eat. Aquaculture practices, such as the farming of bivalves and seaweed, which combine environmental stewardship and food production, are the foundation of a promising model of mutual advantage.
Hustleshuck promotes knowledge and understanding of farmed bivalves and seaweeds, as well as their associated environmental and health benefits. The seafood industry is fraught with misinformation and a lack of transparency regarding where our food comes from, how it is produced, and how it gets to our mouths. From responsible sourcing to informed preparation of bivalves, we educate retailers, chefs, and consumers alike in an effort to create a healthier, more conscious public.
Our goals are to:
Increase visibility, understanding, and consumption of farmed bivalves and seaweed.
Use food to connect people more intimately to the ocean.
Normalize a more indigenous relationship with our world through the systems, rituals, and practices around producing and consuming food.
